Refund Policy
Refunds will only be made should Bard in the Botanics be forced to cancel any performance due to inclement weather. Should this occur, audiences may refund their ticket at the box office from which it was originally purchased.

This refund policy only applies if performances are cancelled before the advertised starting time or within the first hour of the performance.

Refunds for tickets booked at the Citizens Theatre will only be made on return of the original tickets (which can be posted or returned in person).

All requests for ticket refunds must be made before Monday 3rd August.

What do I need to bring?
Please note that seating is not provided for performances of
The Taming of the Shrew or Macbeth, although seats may be hired on the night of performance.

Seating will be provided for performances of Richard III in the Kibble Palace.

Scottish weather can be a bit unpredictable so bring appropriate clothing for an outdoor performance (even the warmest day can cool down as the evening goes on!) and remember that midges can be a real curse of the Scottish summer so why not come prepared!

One of our outdoor productions this year – The Taming of the Shrew – takes place in a single area of the gardens so why not add to your evening out by bringing along a picnic to enjoy while watching the show?

Although Macbeth will have a small element of moving round the gardens, we’ve ensure that there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and have a picnic for that show too!

Just please remember to dispose of any rubbish safely.

How do I get there?
All this year’s productions take place within the main Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens are situated at the corner of Great Western Road and Queen Margaret Drive, at the top of Byres Road.

To get to the gardens –

By bus: The numbers 8,18, 20, 66, 89 and 90 all stop near the Botanic Gardens at regular intervals. Please check times with your local transportation offices.

By underground : Hillhead Underground is the nearest stop, just a few blocks away on Byres Road

By car : There is no parking in the gardens but unrestricted parking is available nearby.info@bardinthebotanics.org
