“B in the Park" Summer School
- Are you interested in drama and theatre?
- Have you ever fancied performing in the open air?
- Are you aged between 14 and 21?
If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”, then the “B in the Park” summer school is for you.
In every year since the huge success of the first “B in the Park” production, Twelfth Night, Bard in the Botanics has offered young people the chance to be part of this exciting project.
“B in the Park” is an intensive 4-week summer school for young people between the ages of 14 and 21, leading to a full-scale outdoor production of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost, as part of the Bard in the Botanics Festival 2008.
The summer school will be led by experienced Shakespeare actors and directors and will allow young performers to explore all aspects of putting on a play, as well as including professional workshops on aspects of performance including Voice, Text and Movement. The young actors will work with the professional production team to create a fast paced, exciting production aimed at an audience of their own age.
